Can cygnus boss?

Of course they can boss... they aren't very useful at bosses higher than level 120 compared to higher leveled adventurers, but they always beat the crap out of the corresponding adventurer at the same level.
Keep Cygnuses away from PB and HT, and don't make one for zaking if you have an adventurer that you plan to get to the higher levels.
