Tons of differences. Chinchllas are a mix of a mouse, a rabbit, and a squirrel, so to speak (only in how they are, not in reality). They aren't like hamsters, which seem to mostly have the same personality. Chinchillas are very social, very curious, and very playful in most cases. They require alot of room to run around, as they tend to prefer the ability to roam. Also, chinchilla's can live for almost 20 years if you take care of them. They have an extremely thick, yet somehow really fluffy, coat of fur thats some of the softest fur on any animal. They can grow to be the size of a regular rabbit. So yeah, lots of differences.
