That was actually all I volunteered for originally, based on prior experience and not really wanting to seem power-grasping per se, but they don't do forum-specific mods here and I was willing to pitch in elsewhere too.

I agree with you more or less that I'm not more or less deserving than many others, but it's flattering and it's meant to be congratulatory to me, not demeaning to anyone else, so just smile and nod and go along with it. I'm sure they'd be saying the same thing to pretty much any of the other "obvious" choices too, and that's OK.
