Dusk Wrote:I decided to revisit the original Diablo about a month ago for fun. It was fun when I played it when I was like 10, but I could not get back into it. I downloaded it, installed it, started going down the dungeon, got to level 2, and died. I just gave up right there. You don't regenerate naturally, potions drop infrequently, your character walks around really clumsily and there are no movement skills, and I couldn't figure out for the life of me where that poison spring was. As much as I love classics, this isn't for me. I'll stick to D2.
I gave away my D2 and LoD to my cousin because he kept getting banned for silly reasons. He was crazy enough in the game that he can freaking tell just by looking at a piece of equipment if it's fake for not. That detracted me from LoD since it eventually becomes nothing more than a mad attempt to find items that barely have a 0.10% chance of dropping when you kill a boss, even with the best Magic Find equipment possible. MF games for excruciatingly rare equipment and dueling with cheaters isn't for me. Drop rates are even worse than in Maple.
Even if you trade for the item instead, you can't tell if an item is duped or not. If it's duped, expect to say goodbye to that item in a few days, in which your trade meant nothing and you got suckered. Even if you asked for an unidentified version of the equipment, it only reduces the odds that it's fake. It doesn't guarantee it's real.
Duelists, oh man the duelists. Those people are plain freaks. No way I can even attempt to catch up to their level of insane gear.
