It would slow down people's training and some people would complain about it "hindering" their "grinding".
That being said, MS has given us the freedom of not having them there and they've been abused at times. I think maplers have no one to blame but themselves as a group for this (I know its mostly the meso farmers/hackers who are at fault but... yeah >_>).
