I never tried twitter cause heard it's worse than facebook, and I find it stupid typing up all the details of what you had for lunch for the entire world to know.
I might try google wave once it's out of beta, cause everything made by google is good
Facebook doubles as an e-mail system and a personal status broadcast (I wonder how ___ is doing, let me check their facebook real quick). Good place to check relationship status too
