Or you should have seen how rare elemental crystals were in the first place. I mean, think about it. Purple equips come along every 5 dungeons or so, and that's a very generous assumption. Disassembling regular blue equips usually gives you 1 or 2 colored cube fragments, and it wouldn't be too unusual to assume that the trend is about the same for purple equips and crystals. I don't think there's going to be a quest for those crystals for a while, if ever.

I know I've come across at least 8 purple equips, not including medals (because you can't disassemble those). I've been disassembling my latter half of those purple equips, since the NPC price isn't significantly high enough to attract me to sell them instead.
