Note: This thread may be all for naught as it is based on my personal observations in the last 30-45 minutes since MS has gone up after the SC. If someone proves me wrong, then this thread is completely useless xD
So I figured I'd stick myself at the mansion today so that even if we dont get Crimsonwood (hey, just in case it did come out), I could hunt Headless Horsemen. The SC ends at 12:30 and I get on and start channel scrolling to hunt for them. I start from 19 and go all the way around to 18. Every "Hallowed Ground" map I went into, there was no spawn at first, meaning that I was the first one on the map after the SC. However, in the 19 channels I found ZERO Headless Horsemen.
There are two scenarios here:
1. I was super unlucky. I know the SC went for only roughly 2.5 hours and that HH's spawn time is in the 6-12 range (or is it 6-8?). What are the odds that in the 2.5 hours, none of the HH spawn times "expired", causing them to spawn right after the SC? After each SC, there'd be zmms and mms on every channel yet not a single HH? Go figure.
2. The second possibility would be Crimsonwood Keep related. There have been discussions going on that HH should be moved/another way should be devised to get from the mansion to Crimsonwood keep as many low levels would die trying to go through HH to get there. Additionally, in the released screenshots of Crimsonwood Keep, you see a map called PFHG2 where you see a bowmaster killing a Headless Horseman. If it were to still spawn at Hallowed Ground, it would make HH the only boss in game to spawn in more than one map. That being said, it would kind of make sense if Headless Horseman were to no longer spawn in the map and they "accidently" took it out early.
What am I trying to do with this thread? I know Isaac will definitely be hunting after the SC and perhaps others in other servers as well. Did any of you find a HH after the SC? There's no definite way to prove that "it stopped spawning" but the question would become if others provide similar results as me: What are the odds of no one in any server finding a HH?
Just throwing this out there. Discuss as you see fit. (Burning Zone part of the thread: I stayed up till 1 to hopefully kill some HH and didnt find a single one. I could've slept earlier or something D
