[x] Simply tell Tyler that Selest shot his brother.
"I know, you don't have to tell me! I'm on this! Don't slow me down!"
In the blink of an eye, the clouds open and rain falls like bullets. The storm that has been building power all morning finally unleashes its fury. Felix rushes through the piercing cold and cuts Tyler off before he can go any farther. "What was that Felix? Where is my brother?" Tyler asks. "Tyler, listen to me. Selest has betrayed you. She shot your brother," Felix says. Tyler's eyes go blank. All the color disappears from his face. He clenches his fists, pushes Felix out of the way and rushes towards the arboretum's grounds. His murderous scream summons a massive explosion of thunder. The wind continues to pick up strength, and the lightning paints the dark, noon sky a vivid white. "Crap...this is getting fearsome," Felix says, shielding his face from the rain. Roberta gets out to help him. They find Melanie lying in the backseat, still very unconscious. "Let's carry her. Hurry," he says. She wants to ask what the hell is going on, but she understands enough to know how dire the situation is. They lift Melanie together and manage to get her into Felix's car. "Now get us the hell out of here, Roberta," he says.
"Move, dammit!" Lizor yells. The employees of Samco Shipping rush around trying to get everything ready. Chad barges in through the front door and meets the clerk. "E-excuse me? Can I help you, sir?" he asks. "Yeah, you can tell me where Lizor is right now," Chad says. The young man quickly grows more nervous. "Eh...heh... Lizor? Lizor you say? N-never heard of him!" he says. Chad rolls his eyes and walks right past the counter, through the door to the back. "Lizor! What are you doing, you ol' sonuva bi'tch?" Chad laughs. Lizor recognizes the voice instantly and turns around to meet it. "Chad! You are alright!" he says. "Of course I'm all right, but it's no thanks to you. You wouldn't be trying to save your own skin, would you?" Chad asks. Lizor bites his lip, and they glare at each other. The entire room goes quiet and everyone stops working to watch. "Come on, Chad. My friend! You know in this world you have to take care of yourself!" Lizor says. "Hah! Really? Is that why I had to bail you out of your little 'mistake' years ago?" he laughs. Lizor's eyes narrow as he quickly grows more tense. "I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I believe I repaid that debt! Your project would never have reached this point without me!" he says. "Ah, yes. My project. That's what this is all really about, isn't it?" Chad smiles.
"What god did I piss off to deserve this kind of luck?" Rose says. The rain beats down on her small car. The strong wind pushes against her with all its strength. "Dammit. I'm in a hurry," she curses. Insistent on reaching Lixmilo, Rose keeps driving instead of playing it safe and letting the storm pass in safety.
"Felix, where are we going? We need to get out of this storm," Roberta says. "I know, I know. Damn, sorry. It's hard to focus with everything happening at once," he says. Felix rides in the backseat with Melanie resting on his lap. He strokes her hair and can't hold back smiling. Roberta watches him in the rear-view mirror. "Felix... Really, we have to decide something," she insists. "Just get us out of this storm. Go to your place for now," he says. She nods and punches the car through the storm.
Tyler clings to his wounded brother and cries. Selest glowers at them, unable to calm herself. "Why should I feel sorry? WHY? You two are worthless! I'm all Rose needs! ONLY ME!" she yells. The rain drenches her entire body and the lightning ignites her wicked eyes. She points the gun at Tyler and laughs. "That's right! He deserved it! YOU BOTH DESERVE IT!" she says. "Tyler... Don't let her get away with this... Now...is your chance... Prove..." he says. His last breath escapes, and he fades away right before his little brother's eyes. "No," he says. A thunderous boom shakes the trees all around them. "Excuse me?" she asks. "I said NOOOO!" he yells, flying at her.
The manager and his employees grow nervous as the situation inside escalates to the same level as the weather outside. They all just want to go home to warmth and safety. "What are you implying?" Lizor says. "You know damn well what I mean. Do you take me for a fool? I've known all along your goal was to steal my work!" Chad says. "Tch! Preposterous! How dare you liken me to a thief!" he says. Chad bursts out laughing. "Haha! You are a crook, you bastard! Everything you are today is because of the people you've used and stolen from!" he says. Lizor balls his hands into fists. Chad smiles and pulls out a gun from his belt. "I don't think so, Lizor. No more games. Come on, move. To my car," he commands.
After much difficulty, Roberta and Felix manage to get Melanie up to the apartment. All three of them are completely soaked. Their clothes are heavy and every inch of them drips. Roberta comes out of her bedroom with some clothes. "I'll be in the bathroom. Can you help Melanie?" he asks. "Of course. Haha," she smiles. Once they're all changed into dry clothes, Felix and Roberta check Melanie. "She's definitely fine. They must have given her some strong stuff, though," she says. Felix leans back in the couch and tries rubbing the stress out of his head. Roberta gets up and goes to the kitchen to make them some tea. "Hopefully the situation with Selest works itself out properly... We really don't need her on our backs," he thinks. He looks around the room and notices it's not even one o' clock yet. "This day's already been long enough. What are we supposed to do now..."
[] Wait the storm out by talking with Roberta.
[] See if the TV still comes in to kill time.
[] Rest with Melanie for the afternoon.
