My ancestors lived in Germany during American slavery, and my parents lived in Russia during segregation and in its aftermath. I was born in 1981, long after the important civil rights legislation was passed, and I came to America in 1990. I would say something similar might be said for most people here. Not too many of us can trace our lineage to Southern slaveowners.
None of that matters. We are all white, we are all guilty because of the color of our skin. That's not racist though.
Every single race has committed some sort of unforgivable act.
And... My mum was born in Cardiff and my father in Plymouth, and I in Plymouth!
I came to good old AMERICA in 2000, 6 years after my birth.
