And I hope you're not planning on being 120 Base DEX when you come to GMS. Try to cap your dex around at LEAST 80 or 90.

i believe shadow meso is more useful then web, as shadow webs one use was to keep himes at bay so u could solo crow.

nobody really solos crow anymore.

shadow meso may be money draining but if u do run outta stars for watever reason at a boss u can use it.

however the best thing would be to instead max nimble if u havent already and then put it in either web or shadow meso.

I say that if you have to use Shadow Meso, you don't have enough stars.

The maximum damage Shadow Meso will ever do is 12000 + 6000 or 18000 per hit. If you look at it, it does 3400 - 8000 base damage and a crit (10% of the time) will yield 1.5x that damage, or 5100-12000. With Shadow Partner, that's the range of a regular hit. With Shadow Partner and crit, you're looking at 7650-18000. And this is all with level 30 Shadow Meso. It never does more damage after you stop putting points in it.

It's a fair bit slower than most of your other attacks as well, so you take a massive beating on DPS. It's very expensive to boot.

There are two sides to every coin and yes, you could just as easily take longer than expected at Horntail (read: use all your stars) or something. Maybe you forget to recharge before going.

Your build pretty much depends on you. What do you think you'll use more? A skill that holds monsters in place for a very short time or a skill that lets you attack when you're out of stars? If neither, I'd say don't worry about it and just max Nimble Body/booster and then cram 19 into points into one or the other.

On an unrelated note, I'm proud of you for going Dark Sight first. I've preached that pomegranate since beta and everyone told me I was stupid because all the guides said Nimble Body was better. Interesting shift in the general opinion of the skill.
