I'd say it depends on what lvl you plan to achieve for your APQ mule.
If you plan to take it to lvl 40 and drop it - then pick cleric or hp pure. A cleric can stand there and heal and you should be able to put on enough hp equips so you can stand a hit from giest with mg on. A hp pure could actually contribute in the boss fight, and would probably never die, though getting the first point of power guard is a slow and tedious process. Though after that you can get some friends to leach you to lvl 40 really fast. If you plan to go on random APQs then pick cleric over hp pure, as I think it would be chosen more often, if you always go with friends then I don't think it would matter either way.
If you plan to take the class to lvl 80/90 then pick archer because they could give significent contribution in the boss fight.
