School

1) Make school like a job. Classwork/tests=everything. Homework for students who have less than a C in the class as they obviously don't understand the material. Homework is to make students practice at home. The problem is teachers focus primarily on homework and tests, the tests based off the homework assignments rather than the classwork and the lectures.

Agreed.

2) Higher pay for teachers (I know it sounds silly considering the crisis were in right now). But yes I believe teachers deserve a larger pay, they work at home and at school nearly 17/24 hours a day for nearly a 1/8th of what my dad makes. The sad part? I'm comparing college professor pay.

Teachers don't need higher pay. Seriously, they don't. They get great benefits. Great hours. Consistency. Tenure. Great vacation time. Also, after you've been teaching for a few years your income is great. Sure, starting teaching with a bachelor's degree isn't really getting you all the luxuries, but it's getting you through life. I hear countless teachers (including my dad) say that teacher's have it made and that they should stop bitching that their job pays too little.

3) If homework needs to be applied then make it so that teachers have an understanding of the proportion they are giving out. School is like a job without the pay, but teachers seem to be less organized and don't work as a group but feel their class is greater than any other class. It's their dormain yada yada. I remember in middle school when I was given 6 projects to do with only about 4 days to do them in, in our excelerated curricumlum at least. Do able but cmon, you really expect a 11 year old to push that hard?

4) Buses should not be running the school schedule. I'm sorry but putting a teenager on a 7am-2pm schedule is ridiculous, hell even my current job is 9-5, 1 hour lunch break (paid) and two 15 minute breaks. I mean the schools need to be more lenient, its not a frekin prison. They need to stop forcing education and trying to teach kids who don't want to be taught, he disrupts and causes trouble and nothing but trouble. Hell my school didn't even have windows.

It gets you used to a schedule and it also gives you time after school to do things. I'm sure that if you were in sports or something then you wouldn't want to start practice close to dusk and then getting home and eating dinner at a later time. And I don't know about you guys, but I hate the school breaks. I am at school to learn and that's what I want happening. I don't care that "Danny got so wasted and threw up all over the floor at Sue's party this weekend." But I have to listen to it anyways so I still have a decent social status in school. If we just had less breaks then it would be a win-win (except for all those other kids who like to talk about idiots doing idiotic things).

Anyway I could come up with a more organized version with a lil more thought into it, but I'm at work so I don't have access to my notes on the subject
