USB removal cause blue screen?

I have expr. the same thing with Sony Vaio vgn-sr390:

1- go into safe mode,
2- go to your control panel,
3- Add/remove programs.
4- show all the Microsoft updates files,
5- remove (uninstall) all the MS that ends with 879. You can search for *879 in your programs list.
