Your way implied they had to manually set each percentage separately to make the total equal 100.

With lazy stacking it's an automatic sliding percentage as they add new things unless they specifically rebalance prior portions.

Yeah I was suggesting it could be something like the way you posted up there based on my doubt of the use of the manual process.
