I think you need to actually get to Corsair and try out your skills to see how much faster you can kill with Torpedo and how much faster/cheaper 3hko Oblivion monsters is than 4hkoing. If I don't kill an Oracle in 3 Cannons, I WILL get hit. If I freeze a mob of Oracles and they don't die in 6 Torpedos, I will have to refreeze again. Being able to efficiently handle maps is an advantage no amount of HP can offset. There's not any reason to blood if you're not even planning on bossing that much. Use Cheese if you can't double pot 3k damage. I use Ginger Ales and they heal me a little over 3.3k HP, which works just fine for me.
