Of course all other classes get a better benefit than Magicians. My only point was that our damage formulas are so inbalanced that finally we had something comparable to MoNs (even though, of course, such high stat HTP's are still better for other classes than Magicians), so of course those of us with the means took advantage of it.
Just for all of your information: yes, I figured it was a glitch. Yes, I still did it anyways. Why? Because Elemental Wands were useable by Bishops for months without word from Nexon as to whether or not that's how they were supposed to be. Gray area is that Nexon claimed they were "WaI," yet then a few months later fixes them to the same way they are around the world. How was I to know if that was going to be the case here? Perhaps Nexon wanted to do something different from other versions and allow their new item to work on something like the HTP. No one was to know for SURE that it was a glitch until their announcement with this week's SC. Please review technicalities before accusing me of things.
Secondly, why did I sell it immediately? Well obviously anyone would if they were in my case; what a great money-making opportunity! But it's more than that for me. The Maker market bottomed out because KoC hype obliterated any future it had on day one of the last patch. Already my stockpiles were barely selling, and thus I've been pretty broke for the past few weeks. My friend had upgraded my pendant with his extra eggs on day one, so I guess that was my lucky streak, but of course that ended later that night with me mistakenly deleting two of my best equips.
Fast forward to today. I just found out that the pendant that took my 6 months and dozens of HT runs to get to +1 2 slots unhammered was going to be rolled back, most likely deleted from my inventory with compensation amounting to nothing more than the possible 8.5k Maple Points and maybe, if I was so very lucky, a month long 2x card. Well that's just great, eh? 8.5k Maple Points for the 23k and 50m I spent on the pendant. A 2x card when I'm just about to hit 200. And the bottom line? No pendant, which means another 6+ months of trying to get a new one...unless I was able to sell it for the amount I needed to buy a new, +1, unhammered HT pendant.
So you sure as hell bet I went for it.
I really feel for others in my position, and am behind many on this thread 100% for the other group, those who weren't fazed by this glitch and just saw the whole thing as a money-making, "I-can-wear-pro-gear" incident. But there are those out there like myself who struggled and sacrificed to get where they were, just to lose it all because Nexon goofs up without notice?

That's my defense. As I told Sarah, even murderers guilty beyond reasonable doubt are entitled to an attorney and a fair trial. While this is no where close to a murder investigation, I know many of you see me as guilty for certain things beyond reasonable doubt, as I would too if I was in your shoes. All I can do, however, is stand up for what I did, present my defense, and hope you're intelligent, mature, and open-minded enough to hear what I have to say. Thank you.

To wrap up xD: Sarah had a great idea for a closing, "SORRY BUT I'M TRYING NOT TO LOSE MY HOUSE. THE ECONOMY IS TOUGH."
