No, those people don't deserve the knowledge. Knowledge would be provided, and if you want to better yourself than you can take it. If you don't then screw you and don't cry when everyone else is successful (assuming we don't become socialist bastards, but that is another story).

Well, what he said is essentially true; the knowledge is essentially at your fingertips and you'd obviously read it if you want to have it.
But, what you want to have and what's good for you don't entirely overlap, and some things do need to be shoved down peoples' throats for their own good.
Sometimes you just have to be forced to do something before you will, even when you know you ought to.
