Eh, I read mangas online, but only because theres no point being x amount of weeks behind the japanese releases, if its a series i'm reading, I make a point of purchasing it the moment it's localized into the UK, same with anime, and having a crunchyroll subscription is a decent way around this anyway. As for games, only thing I've ever illegally downloaded are the touhou series, 1) because they aren't worth the price that importers charge and 2) if they don't want to make a point of making it accessible to people outside of japan, I'll make a point of keeping my money.
If the companies refuse to release something in the UK, I generally refuse to give them my money [seriously funimation, why haven't we got one piece or higurashi released here yet?] I can't believe its incredibly hard to copy paste the american dvds over to release here in PAL format.
