What is Zelda Classic?

Go here for a list of download-able versions as well as a few other things.
If you just want a quest to play right now, then I recommend choosing something off of the top ten lists or browsing at the pool to see if you can find something that looks appealing to you.
When you look at a quest's listing, be sure you are using a the correct compatible version of Zelda Classic, some of the quests in the Quest Database are out of date and there's also some that only work with a custom version build specified on the quest's description.
A year or so back when I first used Zelda Classic I had some minor trouble figuring out how to load a custom quest, luckily for you I found this little tutorial so you don't have to worry about figuring out yourself:

There's probably a few more that I've played, but I can't remember the rest of them.
I haven't bothered to mess around with ZQuest, so I don't have very much experience about making custom games. The same guy who did the loading custom quests tutorial also did one for using ZQuest. Even though this is 15 parts so far, this tutorial video isn't technically finished yet. I've watched every part so far and I think it's pretty helpful if you want to try using ZQuest.
