It doesn't. This game doesn't follow the rule of 'Supply and Demand', you may think it does, but at times, the economy just makes no sense to me. Some things goes as some people expected, while other things won't. Remember, the majority of the people that merchants these days are probably a bunch of pre-teens or 10 year olds that inflates the market with their "1234567890" crap.
