Now, when that little n00b is lvl 111 and outdamages some hermits, I pine for the good old days at HHG.Well, just because the bandwagoners don't quite understand the Plight of the Archer doesn't mean they're not bandwagoners. Our numbers at high levels are still much lower than other classes for this very reason: the bandwagoners, who likely moved to Archers from Bishops or DKs or Hermits, figured that leveling a hunter would be every bit as easy as those jobs. They then found out the hard truths of being an archer and quit early on. This leaves our item prices inflated (because funded bandwagoners always buy their equips 80 levels in advance) and the population small. Isn't it funny how everyone wants us to have great sharp eyes, and won't party anyone who doesn't, yet they want to charge us out the ass for it? >_>
Bandwagoning is sorta inaccurate for bowmen in my opinion. If you want pure unbalanced power, mages make more sense, especially Bishops. Even with Sharp Eyes and other 4th job skills, we level slower than mages do. Simply because we can't spam Ultimates, hitting 15 targets at once. Genesis + HS + Bless, + Heal + Res is just pure munchkin in my opinion. If anything, Bishes should have been the weakest.
Of course, that's all the more reason to play a bowman in my opinion. Bandwagon or no bandwagon, I'd say there are fewer of us than some of the other classes. I do feel bad for the 3rd job DKs which graduated into a weak 4th job.
I also don't feel bad for DKs since most of them were bandwagoners as well. I do feel bad for people who sincerely picked that class because they felt it was the right one for them.
