And no they don't really expand your abilities with maker, the idea is just to show you how to use this skill. Though, it also partially shows you that they can make custom recipes as special rewards by giving items (like the order forms) which enable you to forge something new. This could be used to great effect in Masteria or other exclusive areas, as I believe JMS has already done.
Way I see it, I'm gonna be putting my alts in certain places around the game so I can funnel the items I need for the quests via storage to Magatia, to save on boat trips =P
Also, do these quests contribute to the Quest Specialist Medal? All the better if I can kill two birds with one stone(No one else brought this up it seems... Does this mean I'm the only person in all of SouthPerry without a quest specialist medal?! [/emo])
