FrozNlite Wrote:Take your hate and vulgarity off this thread. You sound like a person who has never played a private server before (not to mention one who really doesn't care about anything put people praising his accomplishments). Let me explain it a little bit to you, even though I put this post at risk for doing so:
Spoiler
Now do you, or anyone else, REALLY THINK an EXP curve like what we have now, plus Bishops, plus the Family System, plus 2x cards, is anywhere close to touching .00001% of what you can do in a private server? Absolutely not.
Actually, you sound like the kind of person who has never played a private server. Not all private servers revolve around getting to a high level fast; plenty of them (Again, the more popular and successful ones) still require quite a bit of work to get to high levels. Items do not just poof out of thin air, you have to hunt with them (Though the drop rates are always doubled or tripled), and mesos are not magically generated nor are billions of them gained from killing snails. The kind of private servers YOU are referring to are the kind that little 12-year-old kiddie shi'ts create when they feel like the grind to level 50 is something unnecessary. Take a look at what I bolded in the last sentence of your post; take a look at what is already making this game ten times easier than it was a couple years back. Every other game update gives Maplers more power (More slots on weapons/more ATK/faster training vs. new training areas, new equips, increased rates, etc), and back in those good old '04 days when Level 50 was an achievement, it's only a matter of time until level 150 is "nothing special" (Though, we may have already reached that point).

If you WANT to invest all of your time in the game, then that is great, but it shouldn't be a requirement to achieve end game. While I agree with what you're saying, that's never been the way Maple's worked, and it never will be. This one small paragraph contradicts with everything that Maple revolves around, and no boosted EXP rates or cash shop items will change the concept of the game that we are, in this thread, trying too hard to make "less hardcore". Like you said earlier, this game is always going to have some kind of difficult grind to it, but to make it easier than it already is with 2x, family 2x, Arch Mages/Bishops, leechers, and everything else that gives Maplers their stiffy sounds like something you'd only hear from someone running a private server. I already know they're most likely going to be keeping these rates, but running in here and disagreeing with the majority is a good way to bring peoples' piss to a steam. Why can't you guys just look at this as the event it was actually made to look like and say "GEE, I SURE GAINED A TON OF LEVELS THIS SUMMER. THANKS FOR THE EVENT NECKSON, YOU CAN SHIFT THE RATES BACK NOW IF YOU WANT."
