The "good" sniper you described here is a camping sniper. I don't go after snipers covered by a sentry, I go for the sentry.

And then everyone turns around and you get crit wrenched. Then in the time it takes for your sapper to do any damage the engi will bake brownies, solve world hunger, and get a back rub.

When there's more than one sniper, I just shoot them one by one because they're oblivious to what's going on anyways. Besides, it's a ton of fun to watch a sniper alternatively use the kukri and sniper rife to kill you as he runs after you.

Those must be some terrible snipers.
