No, it's the same, assuming both monsters have the same drop rate. Each item has it's own individual chance of dropping when a monster dies, meaning that getting one item doesn't interfere with your chances of getting any others. There is the even smallest, tiniest, incredibly slim chance that a monster could drop all of it's drops at the same time. At least twice I've seen a single monster drop two equips.
