Dexless or Low-dex - High DoT Output For NL

In an Onyx Apple situation, dexless will provide the best DoT. At level 140 this is a guarantee, at level 180-190 it's possible that a poorly funded dexless would be outdamaged by a poorly funded low-dex, due to their specifically high atk:luk ratio.


With gear like a 9 atk shoe, 12 atk cape, 11 atk pendant, and 18 atk glove, the dexless route is undisputably better. It's when you can only afford a 10 stat shoe (eg. 10 dex) and normal stats cape (8 dex 2 atk) that low-dex stands a chance of winning.

...you realize most people use dex/luk items instead of items chaosed for a bunch of attack and that capes above 8-9 attack are really expensive, right?

Your average Reverse Lampion has more than a 20 base att lead over a Night Raven Claw. That's hard to beat regardless of how good your gear is in a normal training situation. Even with Onyx Apples you'll be needing a hell of a lot of attack for a Night Raven to win that contest. Even if the Night Raven is better scrolled by 5-6 attack, it's still at a disadvantage.
