Corsair's Battleship + Rellik's "Nuke" = instant death?

I don't think the battleship has anything to do with this. I've been hit by the 1/1 on my ship numerous times and lived fine. I had pet autopotter, so that might have been saving me. And also, if you get stunned on your ship you can right click the icon to get out of it and avoid any damage to it until you get back on it.
