That honestly ended years ago, there are almost no items it is cheaper to scroll than to buy (exceptions are items it is impossible to buy). I used to make dex overalls and profit but nowadays items are barely worth half as much as their scroll successes would imply.

Well maker could have fixed that since you could make above average equips and then scroll them for profit. Now with the hammer I fear that not only will scrolling for profit be impossible, but buying the already pre-scrolled item will also be impossible.
