3. I'm not positive what you're asking, but I think I'm close. You can only reset as points you've put into HP or MP. The game doesn't distinguish between the two, but there must have been points added to one or the other somewhere along the line. Otherwise, you'd be pulling APs out of nowhere. The other possible answer to what I think you're asking is due to the range of HP/MP added/removed. This is in the HP&MP guide too if you wanna read up. When you reset a point from MP, it always takes the maximum of the possible range. When you reset a point into HP, it always adds the minimum. So to get the most HP possible, you add to HP to get a chance of something other than the minimum HP per level added, then remove from MP.
Training Center might be a slightly more appropriate forum, but this is probably close enough.
