Typically this method is used for Zakking, and I'm not sure if you're aware of it.
The main problem with Vista is it spends too much of it's resources with all the fancy things.
If you:
Click on "My Computer" In the top middleish, click on "System properties". link Now, click on "Advanced System Properties". link If windows "needs permission to continue", click accept. Now, click here. Now click this one and press apply. Your computer should look all old and boring and dullish.
