Paladin/Knights are dull for the gap between maxed skills.
For the most part, their skills are useless at level 1-29, and then that 30th point lets you use them. It's kinda... ugh. Night Lord was way different in that aspect for sure.
I went with FA, found FA-less warrior very boring.
pros of a 1h BW: (without shield atk or Crushed Skull)
You'll be the only one on the server using them, meaning no real competition on prices
cons of a 1h BW:
same speed as 2h swords + The Morningstar, endgame weapon of choice for many BW users
less damage formula than 1h swords
shorter range than any sword (even RK which is a "short" 1h)
you'll have to do everything yourself, no prescrolled equips exist unless someone was bored with 30%s - which usually only applies at low levels.
Low dex is easy, dexless is hard. I was 35 base dex unfunded since 2005, no reason to go past that (I got to 110 without a Zakum helm, too) With all the medals, belts, face/eye, pendant etc. it's probably possible to go dexless now if you can access SoK and a higher character..
