I completely agree with the above poster. So what if they're useless? Brand new content is exciting because it's new and offers a chance to break the habitual cycle of grinding to explore maps, monsters, and BGMS never seen before. Everything DOESN'T have to be literally "useful" or "beneficial to YOU" in a patch to make it great; what about the psychological side of training? It really helps in not going crazy while training to get a chance here and there to explore something new.
By the way, a lot of the World Tour areas aren't useless. Malaysia bosses are fun and give out helmets that destroy Zhelms. JMS' Kaede Castle has tons of high level mobs and the Poison Toad boss that would add more bossing fun to the game. Even Neo Tokyo would be amazing, with the highest leveled mobs in any version of MS to date, along with some of the best droplists and bosses ever. You want a useful patch? What's more useful than new equipment and bosses? Oh, right, I guess you just want the game broken a little more.
Understand that if every patch was "useful" to a person's definition, we'd have no delay skills and 200 meso Power Elixers within a year. Accept the difficulties of the game and yearn instead for things to have fun with! It's something a lot of people in GMS have forgotten. Back in the day, this game was all about having fun. Nowadays, it's just a clear level grind. No wonder everyone is so uptight.
Last thing: yes, some World Tours are "lame" and "pointless," but hey, so could some of the new Masteria maps. We don't know what we're getting with that continent yet, so it's more of a gamble. Final thing too is to note that on StrategyWiki, it's duly noted that GMS is only Maker, KoC, and Mu Lung Dojo away from being caught up with Asia. After that, the only big content left is the Balrog boss and Aran, which both have barely started making their way through Asia, and the World Tour maps. So understand there's not much else to update, and I assure you most people would rather get a World Tour area than Tarot Cards.
