Quantact Wrote:The thing is, if you think about it, the only true objective of equipment is to get you to lvl 200. Once you're lvl 200, your only use for equips is to boss, but no amount of bossing will ever return the 62 bil you'll spend on gear. While the stats will be impressive, I mean isn't this overdoing it a little? You can get from 184 to 200 with like 4 bil of gear and still be considered godly.
Then again, I don't even want to know how much you paid to buy both Altruit and DKBlood. :f6:
There's much more available than just my Hero to use it on...everything but the shield and sword would be useful for a Bowmaster, Night Lord, Buccaneer, Shadower...any melee character I chose to make, once it's 50, it gains like 30-40 attack. :f6:

Yes, yes he is.
Milelke Wrote:Wait, what, did somebody spend 5K on MAPLESTORY?
Talk about a waste of money, MS is a game, that will end eventually, ITS NOT REAL, never spend that much money on something that isn't real/is virtual.
You could buy a gaming laptop with that money! A 72" Flat Screen T.V! You could feed a kid in Africa for 4200 Days! But MAPLESTORY? Not to mention LIFE SAVINGS. Man, what. a. waste.
Good God.
I wish i had 4.8k to throw around.
It doesnt matter how long your playing A GAME. Its a GAME. IT ISNT REAL. NEVER SPEND THAT MUCH MONEY ON A GAME. Boy, are you going to regret that "investment" in the future. What are you going to do with your life when MapleStory ends?
Tell that to the person that paid $100k for the glitched sword on WoW, he's still making money off of it.
Plus, you guys seem to forget that while $5k at once is a large investment, there are plenty of people, especially in Broa or Scania who would jump at the chance to spend their MTS cash on my things. It's easier than one might think to get your money back out.

Some guy that no one likes or trusts decided to jack his "friend's" equips and told a web of lies about losing them while transferring
What a frickin failure
It's good to know rumors are still taken as word straight from God in Khaini. Check your pomegranate with ALL of the people involved before you start spewing hatred. If you want screenshots, I'll provide them.
Quantact Wrote:Uh... I quit 8 months ago but in my time playing what you're saying happened like... 5 times? Who are you talking about? O.o
Or maybe I shouldn't ask, there's too much drama as it is. :f6:
Edit: Aren't you the girl that used to be Poop's girlfriend? Janelle (if that's who you are) was a very nice girl but poop was an ass. Poop told me I'd never get to lvl 80, rofl, then he quit at 119 and then I got to 160 before I got bored and quit myself. Rofl poop. :XD
She's referring to me. This stuff happens all the time.
Edit: It's pitiful to know that even though I keep trying, there's still rarely anyone to trust in Maple.
Quantact Wrote:Well, yeah, that's the basically irrefutable argument for gaming. People say "why spend on virtual property," but what's the difference between enjoying yourself through virtual property, and enjoying yourself through going to a movie or a restaurant? The movie ends in an hour, and the food goes in one hole and out another, the money is just as gone. If you have fun, that's the justification right there.
However, spending 4010 on Maple is not such a good idea because Maple constantly undermines existing gear to encourage spending on newer gears. HayO scrolled a legit perfect Fairfrozen on a 103 base, (see Selling forums,) but once Maker comes out, the significance of such an item diminishes. I mean think about it, before Dark Scrolls came out, if somebody had a perfect legit Fairfrozen, they'd be the wonder of all of Global, and they'd get very far on that item. How on earth did they make perfect gears outdated? But in other games, where gear will not become outdated and where the game itself is fairly new, such an expenditure makes more sense.
I agree with you on the entertainment, people should be able to spend their cash on what they want without being judged, but there are still those who will do it and ruin their fun.
I guess it remains to be seen whether or not the Lunchboxes vs. Reserse weapons will cause another Faltizan/Pinaka vs. Sky Skis phenomenon. I've checked the speed of a Timeless Carabella vs. a Lunchbox before, and the Lunchbox is a far sight faster than the Carabella. Fikk tells me a 100 Sky Ski would beat a 126 Pinaka in overall DPS, so that's 26 weapon attack for nothing over one level of speed. I highly doubt we'll have any Reverse weapons at...170 attack any time soon.
