Ok, following that same rule, levels are all worthless in the first place. Money you own in game is worthless in the first place. Quests you did are worthless in the first place. Monsters you killed are worthless in the first place.
This is a game. Everything you aim for is something you do that is worthless in the first place. Or maybe it's the opposite. While some aim for a lv 8 monster book, others do so for a lv 200 character.
Money you own in the game has real value. You need levels to experience more content. Quests are mostly worthless, too, but some quests give you money or exp, and you need 800 for the Quest Specialist medal. I like doing quests, as I'm sure you like filling your monster book. But you can't do anything with a level 8 monster book. You can't kill monsters with it. You can't make money with it. You can't play monster card games. There's no monster book rankings. You can't even show it to other people in-game. It's just a personal ambition thing.
