Patch Night Super Movie Madness Bonanza!!!

I found the dubbing horrible mainly because it was the movie sequel to a long standing favorite classic game of mine. I just find most dubbing crap because the voice actors sound like they don't CARE. At all. They just read the lines off a piece of paper into a microphone, worse than George Bush does. They don't put their heart into the characters they've been assigned, like the original voice actors do.

Looking at the translation, (The unofficial one, as the official ones always change things around for some unknown damn reason.) I see that the dubbing changed a lot of words to lip sync, and that a lot of the characters were given the old "American diversity" bullcrap. It's like Love Hina's dubbing, where one girl had a southern Texas accent, another some accent from Canada, so on and so forth, and they're all from Japan with full Japan mother and father's. Seriously, Yufie calls Sephiroth a BUG in the dubbing.

I also was disappointed because I figured that Square cared about it's customers enough to actually change the movie a bit, since it was CG, to make the American dubbed version have different lip movements to match. That would have been cool. Also, this was one of the first movies where I was going to actually care about different angles, (Some movies have different angles you can watch the movie at.) but they didn't do that, even though it was possible with CG.

Still one of my favorite movies, though. I plan on getting the Blue-Ray version once I get my PS3. If they released the 160GB with the movie, they'd have me instantly.

On-Topic, I plan on watching Ghostbusters with my girlfriend. Huzzah!
