So... fantastic troll or epic fail? I'm leaning towards epic fail because he actually did put up a petition and turned comments off because he was getting flamed too much. I still don't get it... "Oh noes! Now a wider audience will enjoy the game, boosting sales and making it more likely that we see a sequel! The horror! I'm never buying your games again!".
I've personally done FF1 through 6 and didn't bother with 7-12 because it wasn't on a system I had. I'm a sale that they wouldn't have gotten if they hadn't done this... Considering the overall lack of RPG games on all of the systems, I think it's a great move to have it everywhere they can.
