Ironically, I see similar arguments made in games in general when they decide to make it easier. Point is, whenever they make games easier, the people that already did those things usually have nothing to lose. They're not making you do those over again at the easier rate. They're just making it less time-consuming for others to do so, and this has been quite a trend in MS for a long-while, with the introduction of things such as NLC and Leafre. (In-terms of training spots, and the NLC potions.)
I lose ranks. In a game that's pretty much nothing but a test of persistence, I'd kind of like it if my efforts of a month couldn't be duplicated with one weekend of training with a Bishop on 8x.
