2-5 blocks, stuffed animals, etc.
5-8 Legos, K'NEX, board games, Hot Wheels cars, assorted sports stuff,
- SNES (some Mario games, one of the god-knows-how-many Street Fighter 2 games, Donkey Kong Country (the original and best by far))
- bunch of Apogee games on an old-ass computer running Windows 3.1 (original Duke Nukem, Wolfenstein, Cosmo, Jill of the Jungle)
8-10 more of the same stuff, got an N64 and a GBColor as well. The Pokemon craze started when I was in 2nd grade (1997-1998), I think, and started to die out when I was entering middle school. I had Yellow and Silver and bought a deck of the cards. Also I played a ton of educational games because they seemed to be ubiquitous in elementary school, and my mother bought a few too. My favorites were Math Blaster and Gizmos and Gadgets.
11-14 got into online gaming. Started with Neopets, played some Runescape when it was still 2d and actually fun, Gunbound in 8th grade. I had a Gamecube but I didn't do much with that except play Melee, Soul Calibur II and LoZ: TWW. PC gaming other than online games pretty limited to RTS: Starcraft, Age of Empires 2, Age of Mythology, Warcraft III (that would fit into the next section though)
15-19 MapleStory lol. I've taken many breaks in the 4 1/2 years I've been playing this game, and played quite a few other online games: more Gunbound, Trickster, La Tale, GunZ, and Diablo II. Also played Kingdom of Loathing for a while but you really have to be into the community to have fun with that past the first 2-3 ascensions. Otherwise it's just a chatroom. Haven't done much console gaming. I bought a Wii but only bought LoZ: TP and Brawl (and my mother bought Wii Fit), and my most-played game is still Melee, lol. If I could do it again I would've bought a 360 instead. Don't have a lot of money though.
We have some of the same stuff, you just have them a few years earlier since you're younger. It's pretty crazy how widespread some stuff is.
