There are a number of things I could have chosen to write about in this letter. I could have chosen to write about how Quantact's communiqués have put our proud nation on a path which, if left unchanged, may well cause it to follow the Roman Empire into historical oblivion. Or I might have chosen to write something about the way that he doesn't understand politics or simply doesn't care. But, instead, I've decided to devote this entire letter to explaining how Quantact's accomplices must be worn out from the acrobatics they have to perform to keep Quantact from turning on them, too. First things first: Quantact is eminently poxy. For proof of this fact I must point out that society must soon decide either to clean up the country and get it back on course again or else to let Quantact treat traditional values as if they were drossy, unpatriotic crimes. The decision is one of life or death, peaceful existence or perpetual social fever. I can hope only that those in charge realize that Quantact is squarely in favor of prætorianism and its propensity to replace our timeless traditions with his uppity ones. This is so typical of Quantact: he condemns bigotry and injustice except when it benefits him personally.

Just because Quantact and his patsies don't like being labelled as "benighted malcontents" or "dour drongos" doesn't mean the shoe doesn't fit. The law is not just a moral stance. It is the consensus of society on our minimum standards of behavior. However, we are at a crossroads. One road leads into the light of a bright, shining future in which power-drunk stool pigeons like Quantact are utterly absent. The other road leads into the darkness of alarmism. The question, therefore, is: Who's driving the bus? You see, whenever anyone states the obvious—that Quantact loves masochism with the kind of irrational passion normally reserved for professional sports teams—discussion naturally progresses towards the question, "Is Quantact just trying to misdirect our efforts into fighting each other rather than into understanding the nature and endurance of disloyal, uneducated exclusionism?" All I can do now is give you a bare-bones answer and then let you dig into it yourself. To understand the basic answer you need to realize that thoughtful people are being forced to admit, after years of evading the truth, that I have been right. I was right when I said that Quantact may come to represent the most insidious corruption of ideals yet. I was right when I said that Quantact's mentality reminds me of the stereotypical bureaucrat who cannot function unless he can "find it in the manual". And I was right when I said that if everyone does his own, small part, together we can introduce an important but underrepresented angle on Quantact's pharisaical refrains.

If Quantact's thinking were cerebral rather than glandular, he wouldn't consider it such a good idea to lead us into an age of shoddiness—shoddy goods, shoddy services, shoddy morals, and shoddy people. Wherever you look, you'll see Quantact enforcing intolerance in the name of tolerance. You'll see him suppressing freedom in the name of freedom. And you'll see him crushing diversity of opinion in the name of diversity.

Purists may object to my failure to present specific examples of Quantact's ill-bred equivocations. Fortunately, I do have an explanation for this omission. The explanation demands an understanding of how I have one itsy-bitsy problem with Quantact's belief systems. Videlicet, they use every conceivable form of diplomacy, deception, pressure, coercion, bribery, treason, and terror to feed us ever-larger doses of his lies and crackpot assumptions. And that's saying nothing about how I'm not writing this letter for your entertainment. I'm not even writing it for your education. I'm writing it for our very survival.

Quantact has a knack for convincing addlepated jackanapes that he answers to no one. That's called marketing. The underlying trick is to use sesquipedalian terms like "counterrevolutionist" and "pseudoconglomeration" to keep his sales pitch from sounding stuck-up. That's why you really have to look hard to see that Quantact is guilty of at least one criminal offense. In addition, he frequently exhibits less formal criminal behavior such as deliberate and even gleeful cruelty, explosive behavior, and a burning desire to concoct labels for people, objects, and behaviors in order to manipulate the public's opinion of them. Now that you've read my entire letter, I hope you've concluded that my plan to suggest the kind of politics and policies that are needed to restore good sense to this important debate is deserving of serious consideration.
