Two reliable friends are most likely dead (it's not absolute yet!). You don't really have anywhere to go based on the information you gathered. Patrick said he'd give you more info after he woke up. Also, Chad seems pretty dangerous right now so you'd probably want some allies. Even if Patrick is still suspicious, Clinton is solid because he'd do his best to protect Melanie (and I guess you too now) and you won't have to worry about that.
