I wouldn't recommend asking if anyone saw her because you'd draw a lot of attention to yourself that also possible bad people would know about this disappearance and use it against you. I bet you wouldn't have an easy to identify picture of Mel on your direct person either, so it's also kind of confusing to ask strangers in that regard as well.
