So like I recently hit 4th job for my gunslinger and have been trying out the new skills. I've been training at newties since lvl 80, so I've grown really tired of that place. Since I'm more of a solo person, I've never trained with a bishop/arch mage, so maybe thats why I got really tired of training at newties alone. =/

Anyways, I "kinda" found great use of the elderwraith map for corsairs. (I'm not sure if this has been brought up yet cause I tried searching and didn't find anything about elderwraith training for gunslingers.) The use of Battleship and torpedo works great in the map. =) The exp wasn't too bad either.

I'm sure many people would think the battleship would break every second with the elderwraiths swarming around you. But it doesn't really if you know how to properly mob them.

First, I would mob them and then constantly shoot torpedo. Everytime they got close enough to touch me, I immediately dispatched from the ship and recoiled, followed by boarding the ship again. So yeah, my ship doesn't really take any damage. I was using lvl 1 torpedo, so I was only able to hit 4 monsters at a time. If or when my ship does die, I spammed flamethrower (yay another use for max flamethrower Big Grin), invisible shot, and aerial attack. Because ice splitter can't freeze them and does only 1 damage, flamethrower makes good use here. =D I apologize if this is a very vague explanation, so I recorded how I trained there.

This map is somewhat like himes I guess. =/ I found this as an alternative training spot if I get bored of newties or if maps like himes are completely full.

In a way, you would be wasting lots of pots if you don't properly recoil over the elderwraiths. I was thinking maybe partying with a priest and have the priest mob the wraiths together (I have not yet tested this method yet). It would be a good strategy, except the priest would be the one using mp pots cause the elderwraiths do 2.4k damage without invincible, unless the priest doesn't mind. XD It would benefit priests too, cause they probably will get a decent amount of exp.

Pros:
-Decent exp
-Constant Spawn
-Money from selling the drops [elderwraith drops can be turned into Lita Lawless for money + exp or sold in FM for a good amount of money (not sure about selling in FM for other servers)]
-Easily able to mob the monsters
-they drop Dark Crystal Ores
-lots of open maps
-if a headless horseman pops up, its like an extra 300k exp xD
-not a crowded place, so little or no ksing will take place

Cons:
-if a bigfoot spawns, your dead xD
-waste lots of pots if not consistent with recoiling past the elderwraiths
-long walk to the map =(

So your opinions on this alternative training map? Chin

You could also sit in a corner and just use cannon as they come to you one by one (even those on the other side of the map will work their way to you).
