The same thing would have happened with WoW, or whatever MMO qualifies as fun and balanced to you. They don't quit just because this game isn't fair, they quit because either the game has lost its original luster or because they don't have time to play it anymore, or both. Everything gets old eventually. No amount of AWESOMENESS will keep people playing forever.
