Okay I saw that thread before...but it doesn't kill off leechers entirely from what I understand, just PG boss leechers more specifically. I mean currently Bishops are selling leech at Harps, Gobies, etc. where the monster would be within 5 of the leecher's level anyway. :f6:
The current rule of leeching is the conjunctive (any of..."OR" logic) of the following:
1. You have to be within 5 levels of the monster to leech if you do not hit it.
2. You have to be within 5 levels of any character who does hit the monster to leech if you do not hit it.
3. If you can hit the monster, you can leech on its kill.
Adding accuracy to PG only serves to kill off #2, which is good. But I don't see the importance of that guy restating #1 since it's the system as it is...unless he meant that KMS killed off #3, which wouldn't really make practical sense then since that means level 135- may no longer get party exp from Zak, and 155- may no longer get party exp from HT. :f6:
In either case, killing off leech entirely may solve the leech and people being lazy problem, but it just means that those people are going to quit much earlier still than end-game, which still isn't good as far as community development goes (although I guess you can argue to your favor of what you want for our community), and I'm sure it's not good either in terms of an overall game-design's intentions.
