NEXON customer service changing for the worse?

1. They could do more to tell people not to hack others and not use personal information to gain access to accounts.
   
   
2. They can also tell you to use fake info, since chances are, information such as your last name and birthday are known by your friends and family, who may or may not play maple story.
   
   
3. That and remind people that they are not alone in this world and there can always be someone peering over your shoulder.
   

1. Yeah. Because clearly people who are already breaking rules and purposefully hurting others will listen to a politely worded request to not do it. They've obviously got strong moral compasses and a compulsion to do what's right.
   that aside, the Maple Admin NPC repeatedly spams:
   "To play the game the right way, we strongly suggest you don't use hacking tools to ruin it for others." Not to mention the maple tips on that subject below...
   
2. Using fake info makes it near impossible to prove who you are in the event you've lost your account. The fact they use security thats only as strong as how anonymous you are is a general fault in their security, not something they can fix by "educating" users to lie.
   
3. The numerous warnings they already give don't seem to be helping, I doubt this one more is the silver bullet that ends account theft forever, sorry. Lets play count the number of times Nexon tells you don't be a moron:

   8. Mesos and Items cannot be duplicated. Fraudulent activities are strictly forbidden.
      
   9. When using a public computer, confirm the security programs and change your password on your private computer after use.
      
   10. Remember not to provide your ID and PW anywhere outside of the official website.
       
   11. Visiting a website that has not been confirmed may pose hack risks.
       
   12. You are encouraged to select a password that consists of both numbers and letters, and periodically change the password.
       
   13. Account sharing, selling, or trading is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. Such accounts will be blocked.
       
   
   

Seriousely here. Education isn't the issue. Idiots with no concept of right and wrong and no fear of consequences is the problem. Having a game that's been designed in the single most craptastic model of "client tells the server what's happening" instead of "server tells the client what's happening" ever devised by drunken lemurs, that is the problem.
