I did some research on that line and if he did cheated, then it certainly wasn't within a week since Marilyn Monroe died in 1962 while JFK was assassinated in 1963, unless JFK was into necrophilia. Though that line may not be true, I can't say if he did cheat while she was alive or not. Also, there are no places in Maryland called Monroe except for Monroe Gardens, which didn't exist in 1865 lol.

Philandering is a lifelong addiction. The Kennedy family was powerful even before he got into office, (that's why he got into office after all,) and the whole "Camelot" image was probably there before he got into office too. If he slept with Marylin Monroe before he became president, is that any less relevant or despicable?
The guy the History Channel interviewed was one of Kennedy's cabinet members. History Channel is an entertainment entity, but even so, I can't imagine a member of Kennedy's cabinet would go public with this huge of a lie. Libel and slander are very costly things if you are talking about public figures. The Kennedy family could go after the guy and sue him into bankruptcy, along with everyone else saying these things. To the best of my knowledge there isn't any real contest to Kennedy's philandering. People worshiping him simply consider it irrelevant, but I've yet to meet somebody that seriously argued it was untrue.
