My girlfriend is Irish, so it's not like I hate Irish people, but JFK... people don't have the full story.
JFK cheated on his wife with a lot of women, including Marylin Monroe and a Russian spy. A member of his cabinet did an interview with the history channel, saying he used his wife and kids, (and the whole wholesome image,) but despite the "gentleman's agreement" that existed between the presidency and the media back then, this cabinet member was sure that had JFK not gotten assassinated, it would have gotten out and he would have had to resign. His philandering was THAT bad.
Instead he gets killed and is remembered as a martyr and a hero.
