Would you quit because of Elemental Wands/Staves?

I on the other hand am predicting the status quo will remain virtually unchanged, based on the fact that is has since day one. People come, people go. This is not going to change that. I don't need further proof beyond the fact that the player base has gone through everything it already has. Events happen. People stay. New People come. It all washes out as populations are continually growing, not declining.

You're proclaiming the exact opposite of reality has demonstrated. A Thing will occur and an entire class will quit. That's simply not going to happen. All the people who think like you might quit, but that's hardly a loss from what you've demonstrated thus far.

Without anything to back those predictions? I have given you evidence already. And you can go look at the rankings and maybe hang out a bit on your server and see how many high leveled Lukless Bishops with Ele Wands are walking about and how few regular Luk ones still remain. Hell, if this wasn't the case and if it wasn't the issue, then according to yours and many others' arguments, prices wouldn't be so high, right? This thread and all you AM's peaching wouldn't have carried on to this level. On my server, just about every Bishop over 15x you see are lukless and with an Ele Wand. Simply put, Luk Bishops will have to suffer twice the training rate for 10-20 levels compared to a Lukless one, that's why there are more of Lukless now than ever before.

Now if you think that Nexon, after over a year of feeding these elemental weapons to these Lukless Bishops, are gonna just take it away from the majorty of these folks and it won't have an impact on the player base and the economy, you are out of your mind.

And again, you're overgeneralizing in your "argument." Oh wait, you've never presented a valid argument thus far. So far everything you've ever said against what I have presented can be boiled down to "it simply won't happen" and "it's in your head" and "your points don't exist" while you continue to deny the obvious outrage the entire 4x larger (Bishop vs AM) community will have against this.

But suppose your argument is sound, you certainly are forgetting the people who left us already. New people do come indeed, and population do seem to grow on the surface. But that all is irrelevant to how many people actually stay. How come Broa FM maxes out in FM ch. 1 rooms 1-19 and ch. 2 rooms 1-4 and then the occasional ch. 3 room 1? It has been like this for 2 years now, yo! Population on the increase? Or simply registered characters on the increase with people coming and going due to lack of continued interest of this game?

Status quo since day 1? I'll tell you what it has really been like the last 4 years.

When Maple started out, it was almost an even number of class distributions.

Then soon people realized that ranged leveled faster than non ranged, and warriors decreased, with the exception of Spearman since Dragon Knights were the most powerful 3rd job class.

Then Maple Weapons were released. This shifted emphasis of class distribution to the thieves and mages. More and more people created dexless sins and Lukless mages since their Maple weapons and character attributes allowed them to use those Maple Weapons as end-game weapons, whereas warrior and archers benefitted more from a regular build. Warriors took on being dexless with the ever-increasing variety of scrolls for DEX, whereas archers had to stick to how they have been if they wanted to maximize their damage end-game.

Then stronger bosses such as Pap and Pianus were released. This made many of the ranged class bandwagon (which was far more primarily focused on sins instead of archers now) disband due to the constant dependence of Hyber Body. At the same time, more and more warriors started to pop up too.

Then HP wash was discovered to be a possible solution (actual discovery as a whole was a bit earlier), and this revived the ranged class for a bit among the rich.

Skipping ahead, then 4th job was released. This suddenly increased the general consensus that Mages are the way to go for leveling, and thus, began the Bishop bandwagon since they were cheaper and also have HS.

At the same time, this killed the warrior job almost entirely as the majority of those warrior Dark Knights realized how crappy of a class they were compared to others. With only a few Dark Knights pressing onward and the few Heros and Paladins that picked up the warrior class to begin with, that shapes your warrior class today. The rest of the Dragon Knights quit.

With Horntail boss released, ranged classes are realizing in increased numbers how unfair this game has become, and that's why it has been increasingly harder to find new ranged folks in general and especially for Horntail runs, because you only have a handful left who were the rich and who stuck it out.

So you are left with a huge population of mages, which most of are Bishops. And since Bishops tend to be richer in general compared to AM due to their inherently lower MP costs due to lack of Amp and their Holy Symbol, they are the richer ones selling leech and gaining far more profits and obtaining the elemental wands.

Take away the elemental wands of this dominating class now, and based on history, this class will die out in great numbers.

Nexon knows this, and that's why they've kept these things around the way they have been for the past year. Because if out goes the Bishops then out goes the trainers and players who will keep playing at 2%/hour. That means out goes the NX and bye bye to the majority of your current high leveled population who train with Bishops. It's why they've been so hush hush and careful about all this.

That is your MS population today. Status quo has remained constant? I think not. Here's the evidence countering your argument. I seriously hope you take it with a grain of salt and not just dismiss it and say it's moot like everything else I've said thus far.

And just for kicks, I'm gonna end this argument like how you end yours:

A large number of existing Bishop players with Ele Wands will quit if Nexon implements this "fix" so late right now. It simply will happen.

Oh, and here's a random fact and irony. The 4th job warrior instructor, Harmonia, is actually a Bishop (If you're a warrior and have read and paid attention to your skills' quest chains, you will know this too).
