So anyone with normal luk was resetting down, or they just didn't care about damage - the elemental weapons are not necessary for that trend, they just increase the amount lukless overpower normal luk chars.
Actually since luk mages get a whopping 37 extra stats out of ZHelm + HT Pendant, 4 stats from base luk, and some 10-20 stats from being able to use higher level class gear they're really not far behind the level 64 weapons at all. It's the Ele wands that break the balance completely.
